My story

***LOCAL ADOPTER (within 50 miles of Apex, NC) NEEDED! This dog is scheduled to be spayed at our PLR partner vet in Apex!*** June Bug is about 2-3 year olds and is a ready to go dog looking for new humans for her to love on. She is potty trained, walks perfectly on a leash with no pulling, and follows simple commands. She is scheduled to be spayed at the end of July. She’s about 67 lbs and is a cuddle bug. She loves pets, belly rubs and car rides!! She loves to play catch with a tennis ball and to snuggle with her stuffy. She loves her crate and settles right in. She also loves her comfy dog bed. She does not like being left outside on a deck or out back because she feels safest with her humans. Related- she gets nervous with thunder and will lay very still near her human. She’s great with other dogs and has met lots of adults and kids and loves them all. She’s comfortable with men and really enjoys the company of seniors. We suspect she was an indoor dog who was well loved. On walks she will adjust her pace to ours. June Bug is very adaptable and will do great in a loving home. Everyone who has met her from the shelter to the vet- to her foster home - to all the neighbors, teenagers in and out of our home, and neighbors with kids say the same thing - “She is SO sweet.” Her velvety ears are just waiting for that special person to rub them. She is full of love and whoever adopts her will have a very loyal, joyful and grateful sweetie.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Junebug Scotland, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
