My story

Meet Basil, a vivacious & adventurous little tabby! Currently in the `t-rex` phase of kittenhood, Basil loves to roughhouse and explore. He`s enamored with his giant foster brother, Denny, who is a very tolerant 80 pound pittie. Wherever he goes, Basil follows; whatever he has, Basil wants. Basil can often be found trying to steal Denny`s plushies or chewing on his tail. His 2 cat foster sisters think he can be a bit much at times because they`re older ladies who are more interested in birdwatching or napping in a ray of sunlight than in entertaining a rowdy kitten, but he doesn`t find their avoidance of him to be a deterrent and is determined to hang out with them. He would definitely do best in a home with an animal companion, but perhaps one who is more tolerant or closer to his age and/or energy level. When playtime is over, Basil enjoys soaking up all of the snuggles, too. He was hand-raised from a tiny baby, so he loves to be held/carried, but his prefferred method of transportation is sitting on your shoulder. He refuses to accept that he`s getting too big to be a shoulder cat and will try very hard to maintain his perch. Right now, he`s working on harness training so that he can have supervised time to explore the outdoors. If you`re looking for a ridiculously cute adventure buddy, submit an inquiry and Basil`s foster will schedule a meet & greet at their earliest convenience. This animal is staying in a foster home and is not at the shelter. Please put in an inquiry and an adoption counselor will contact you with the next steps. Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
