My story

Hi There!!! My name is Freeway and I am a gorgeous seal point senior gentleman. I got my name because my finder found me on the freeway when I was just a kitten. But she had to relinquish me because I was not getting along with the new kitten and accidentally scratched my owner. This made her mad, so she locked me in a cage for six months before turning me over to ASR. I was very traumatized, but I have made huge strides and am now ready for a new forever home.  I am very sweet and affectionate with me person, who I strongly prefer to be a woman. I will lay next to her and purr and then lay on her chest and purr. I am a very people oriented cat and I love to be near her at all times.  I can be spicy if you startle me and have bitten my mommy's husband twice, but he scared me. I have never bitten or scratched my mommy because she always let's me know what's going to happen before she does it. That way I am not startled and put on the defensive. Slow and steady wins the race with me.  I do have high blood pressure, which requires that I take half a pill each night, but I am good with a pill gun and don't fight when it's medicine time. You could also crush up my half a pill and put it in some wet food and I would love to take it that way too. Also, the meds are very inexpensive, about $20/ month.  I really am a great kitty and deserve to live out my golden years in my own forever home.
