My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:19This dog is available to meet by appointment only. Telly is a 7-year-old, 68-pound pittie mix with soulful eyes and a heart full of quiet love. Though shelter life has been overwhelming for him, he’s making beautiful progress, warming up with each gentle word and soft pet. Once he feels safe, Telly leans in for affection, offers sweet kisses, and shows his affectionate, trusting side. He’s an easygoing walking buddy, focused on his person and happy to explore at his own relaxed pace. Telly would do best with an experienced adopter who can give him the time and patience he needs to decompress and continue building confidence. He may prefer being your one and only, or could potentially live with a well-matched dog. This special senior has also had a few skin masses removed, so a post-adoption vet follow-up is recommended.
