Otis

My story

I want to introduce you to Otis, a truly adorable and affectionate buff-colored Tabby. I first noticed Otis on my property about three months ago; he was new to the area, and I strongly suspected he had been abandoned. For a month, I worked diligently to befriend him and earn his trust so I could get him into the rescue. He was incredibly malnourished and dehydrated from the summer heat, but he finally started to warm up once he realized I was providing him with food and care. Otis has been in my care now for a couple of months, and he has shown nothing but love. Even when the kittens tried to run into his private room, he remained curious and never aggressive. I don't know how he is with dogs, as I've kept them separated to avoid any unnecessary stress for Otis, who has clearly been through enough; my own property cats did not welcome him kindly. I believe Otis is ready to get out of his private room and be welcomed into a loving family home once more. He seems like he would be a very playful cat given the opportunity to stretch out and truly be himself. We estimate Otis to be between 2 and 4 years old, though it's often difficult to tell precisely with strays. He is now in good health and is very much ready to find his forever home.
