My story

SEVEN -1-5 years old, 70 pounds, nervous in shelter.   Seven arrived at VBACSC as a stray. He is nervous behind the cage bars which comes across as barking and pushy. He is a beautiful boy with soft and dark tan fur all mixed throughout.  The barking at the cage door is intimidating and only after a few days of tossing treats to him and not leaving when he barked did I attempt to take him outside. He was curious and interested in the smells all around and on the grass, benches, and agility equipment in the yard.  He came to me for treats but was a bit hard when he grabbed the treat so I ended up just tossing them to him…which he caught like a champ. Seven needs time to warm up to new people.  Take the time and allow him to get used to you and others. Slow and proper introductions will help ensure success in his becoming an important member of your family. As we learn more about him, we will update this bio. Until then, bring any resident dog for a meet and greet and please be ready to supervise if it goes well. Also, let this big boy approach you. Let him proceed at his own pace. There’s no need to rush. Seven is currently in a back kennel so if you come into meet him and don’t see him, please just ask.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 30, 2025, 9:59 am
