My story

***Staff thinks we will be ready early June. My foster family says `She is always ready to play or run around the house. So far she is pretty independent, but she still purrs if you pick her up, she has the makings of a great little companion.`*** I am not currently at the shelter because I`m growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741 option 2; leave a message and your call will be returned in the order received. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Due to restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be able to visit one another prior to adoption. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted without a visit. It`s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
