My story

I’m Brownie, a beautiful brindled hound mix looking for my forever home where I can finish growing up.I came to the Humane Society of York County as a stray, along with my brother. I’m expected to be a medium size girl when I’m grown up. (My estimated birth date is March 2025.)When I came to HSYC, I went right into a foster home. I learned some basic “house skills” in foster care, like crate training and “sit.” I also got along wonderfully with the resident dog and cat!I love running and playing outside and I loved daily playtime with my foster sibling, including fetching sticks. I loved just hanging around my foster parents, too, and was happy to entertain myself when they were busy. I also enjoyed sunbathing on the back porch!I love chew toys too, and a good game of tug-of-war. I also enjoyed tagging along on some shopping outings, and taking walks in the neighborhood.I’m a cuddly, affectionate girl, and I love snuggle time with my humans.I loved getting a taste of the comforts of a home and family, and I want my own. My foster family says I’m a fun, playful, loving and independent girl.
