My story

I'm available for adoption at ACC's Mobile Adoption Event on Saturday, July 26 from 12pm - 4pm at The Pet Market, 2821 Broadway, New York, NY 10025. Adoptions are in-person and first come, first served, so make sure to get there early. You can apply for me now, but it will not put me on hold for you. I can't wait to meet you!What my friends at ACC say about me:Onomatopoeia is a little bit nervous and shy, and was at the back of the cubby, looking, wary with slightly enlarged pupils. She sniffed treats and accepted petting, and then slowly started to warm up, leaning in for cheek rubs. Initially, she did give a single hiss, but didn't escalate and didn't repeat the hiss. She remained in place and allowed all petting, and when the assessment was over and the door was shut, she gave sweet little slow blinks.Onomatopoeia tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior. Primary Color: Gray Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 8 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks
