My story

A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! This 3-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua may be tiny, but his heart is overflowing with love. Courage came to Furkids from an overcrowded animal control and has since shown us that he is the ultimate snuggle bug.. he’ll happily curl up with you every time you sit down! Courage is a loyal little shadow who bonds deeply with his people. He’s fully potty trained, does well on a leash, and is crate trained, making him a wonderful housemate. His favorite place in the world is right by your side, and he prefers not to be left alone for too long. Because Courage is sensitive and can be a bit skittish, he’ll thrive best in a calm, adult-only home where he can feel safe and secure. While he does fine out in public, he can be cautious with strangers and may act a little mouthy when he feels protective of his loved ones. At adoption events, he tends to retreat rather than engage, so he may do best as the only pet, or with a slow, gentle introduction to a laid-back companion. Courage currently weighs about 11 lbs., is approximately 3 years old (est. birth date 05/03/2022), and his adoption fee is $315. Courage has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
