Meet Kermit – The Sweet, Bouncy Companion Who’s Always Ready for Fun Quick Facts: Breed: Border Collie/Spaniel Mix Age: 2.5 years Weight: 38 lbs House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes – does best when not crated for more than 4–5 hours Good with Dogs: Yes – especially enjoys dogs his size Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Older/respectful children (8+) Energy Level: Moderate with playful bursts Fence Required: Preferred but not required Why You’ll Love Kermit: Sweet, social, and full of personality Crate trained and completely housebroken Great with other dogs and loves having a playful buddy Submissive and gentle play style Quiet and easygoing in the home A fun mix of playful and cuddly Would love a yard or daily playtime to stretch his legs About Kermit’s Breed Mix: Border Collies are intelligent, energetic dogs who love to stay active and engaged, while Spaniels are friendly, affectionate companions. Kermit blends both beautifully—he’s smart, responsive, and eager to bond, while also being a total sweetheart with a goofy side. He’s curious, playful, and thrives in a home where he’s part of the fun. Kermit’s Story & Personality: Kermit is a lovable, happy-go-lucky young pup with a heart full of joy and a little bit of puppy mischief. At 2.5 years old, he’s outgrown the chaos of puppyhood but still has moments of silly energy—like bouncing in the air or trotting around with a favorite toy. He loves the outdoors, lounging on the patio, and gentle games of fetch. Kermit sleeps in his foster mom’s bed or at the foot of it and does beautifully on a consistent routine. He doesn’t bark much, doesn’t mark in the house, and hasn’t shown any signs of food aggression. He does best when not crated for more than a few hours at a time and would love someone who’s home often or another playful pup to spend time with. He’s still learning leash manners and would thrive with continued positive reinforcement training. A fenced-in yard would be great for his playtime zoomies, but he could also do well in an active household committed to regular walks and enrichment. Kermit’s Ideal Home: A fun, engaged household with time for play and training Older children who can handle his playful energy A playful canine companion or a person ready to keep him active A patient, loving adopter who’s committed to his continued leash work A family who enjoys a mix of activity and cuddle time Ready to Meet Your Goofy, Gentle Best Friend? Kermit is looking for a family to laugh with, play with, and cuddle up to at the end of the day. He’s sweet, silly, and incredibly loving. If you're ready to welcome a playful sidekick who will fill your home with joy and tail wags, Kermit is your guy. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description.
