My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    PLEASE NOTE: GPMR communicates primarily by email.  If you have any questions regarding one of our Mastiffs, please read their bio and if you still have questions - drop us an email at GPMastiffRescue@gmail.com.  If you have questions about our adoption procedures, please go to our page called 'Adoption Info.'  We answer email inquiries daily.    GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.    GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado.  !!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!       Meet Cider! She was rescued by a good samaritan when her owners moved and couldn't bring her. Cider came in rough shape, she was terribly underweight, had a lot of fleas and had a very large wound on her neck. This good samaritan took Cider in and started nursing her back to health. Cider's health is much better but she's got ongoing skin issues that we are treating and giving her medicated baths and medications to treat. She's been eating great and has no problems taking her medications. She is also blind in one eye. Cider is about 3 years old and heartworm negative! Cider is giant hunk of drooly lovebug. She's housebroken although she won't use a doggy door. She's content to chill out and also loves playing with the other dogs in her foster home. Cider is good with dogs of all sizes and large livestock too! She's not good with chickens and other birds if they are loose in her yard. She can get startled on the side where she is blind so she's not recommended for families with small children. She's very heat intolerant and can only be outside in this summer heat for very short periods of time. Cider loves water and lounging in a kiddie pool. Cider is being fostered in McAlester, OKVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Save a Mastiff...Adopt, Foster, Volunteer!July 21, 2025, 9:35 pm
