My story

'Tanner' Yellow Lab/Carolina Dog mix, male, 4 months old, 18 lbs (will get to 40lbs)TannerMeet Tanner, found abandoned with his brother in a crate by the side of the road. Tanner is a sweet, six-month-old puppy looking for his forever home. Tanner weighs about 30 lbs and we think he will grow to about 45 lbs. He looks like a lab/ Carolina dog mix with long legs and a great demeanor.  Tanner loves to play with other dogs and really LOVES his people!  Tanner is currently in a foster home with two other dogs, two kids, and chickens.  He has been taken to schools, restaurants, food markets, and street fairs and does super well enteracting with other dogs, sitting by your side, and getting petted and picked up by kids - although now he is getting a bit heavy for that!  Tanner will do great as a companion dog, as a solo dog, with big families, or with one person.  He loves kids at all ages and will want to jump on them, cuddle them, and give them lots of kisses.  Tanner is an athletic dog and will be a great partner for walks, runs, hikes, and more.  Tanner is also a confident adventurer, he currently loves to hunt for lizards, pouncing through the brush and bounding around the backyard. Tanner would be best with an owner who has the time to train him in his early months so that he can learn his new routine (he might cry a bit at first when you leave him as he really wants to be at your side).  Tanner is mostly potty-trained and does well entertaining himself when left in the yard.   Currently Tanner does not chew or bark much, which makes him a pretty easy in-house companion as well. If you are looking for a loving and faithful companion, Tanner is the dog for you!
