This fun-loving, high-energy goofball is always on the move, chasing squeaky toys, zipping around the yard, or following his nose in search of snacks. Willie is incredibly food motivated (did someone say treats?) and is always up for learning new tricks, especially if there’s a tasty reward involved!He brings playful energy to every moment and will thrive in a home where he can stay active and engaged. Willie is the younger half of a dynamic duo and is looking for a home with his best friend, Waylon, by his side. They’re a perfect balance, Willie’s the life of the party, and Waylon is the calm in the storm. Come by the shelter and meet this pair today!IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:52 lbs. HOME TYPE:House- Willie and Waylon can be vocal and would do best in a home without shared walls.CHILDREN:Yes- Middle aged children or older children who have large dog experience potentially compatible. CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:No- Due to prey drive.OTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatible. Willie is bonded with his best friend Waylon and they would need to find a home together. ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:First time dog owner possible. His new family should be familiar and/or researched hound breeds.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:At least one in-person training sessions to work on socialization, basic training, manners and separation anxiety.
