My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:October is an under-socialized kitten who retreated when approached, but did not hiss and allowed being picked up while remaining somewhat fearful.October appears to be fearful and given his age at the time of the assessment (10 weeks old) we believe that he hasn't had much human interaction up to this point and as a result is under-socialized; a condition that should be temporary if he is given appropriate interactions. During the assessment he retreated and appeared fearful. He needs intensive socialization at the present time. We recommend that this cat go to a home with cat parents who are preferably familiar with kitten socialization or are open to detailed counseling by staff. The speed at which the kitten will become socialized is hard to predict but given his age it we believe may take some with results possibly uncertain. If socialization is not begun soon there is the potential for this condition becoming permanent or long term. Primary Color: Orange Tabby Weight: 2.1 Age: 0yrs 0mths 11wks
