My story

Meet Aurora! Aurora is a beautiful puppy that was born around May 1st and is now a gorgeous 24 pound pup (as of 8/15) who’s ready to find her forever home. She was found in the woods of Mississippi alongside her German Shepherd mother and siblings, and she’s come a long way since those early days. Aurora can be shy at first—especially around young children—but once she trusts you, her lively, playful personality shines through. She’s not a big cuddler; instead, she enjoys simply being a dog—exploring, playing, and staying active. She can be a little possessive about what’s hers (to other dogs), so a family willing to provide gentle guidance and consistent training will help her grow into her best self.  Because of her early experiences, Aurora is uncomfortable being alone. She truly thrives when she has another dog in the home to give her confidence and companionship, so a canine buddy is a must. With her dog friend by her side, she feels secure enough to let her strong, fun-loving personality come out. Aurora would do best with an active family who understands the needs of a young, energetic pup and is willing to help her learn good manners along the way. In return, she’ll bring joy, adventure, and a touch of spunky charm to every day.
