My story

Please contact Caitlin Finn (caitlin.finn@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.is sweet puppers! does not come riding a horse!COWBOY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Cowboy          Best Guess for Breed:   Beagle mix  Best Guess for Age: 5 years as of July 2025      SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight: 20 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We have tested Cowboy with some of the cats at the shelter, and he/she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Cowboy could live with a cat, he has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!We haven't seen him with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: A DC area foster home! We will update this when he has been in the foster home for a few days.   Cowboy is Looking For: His forever home! He's eager to have his own humans for sniffy walks (that beagle nose!) and all the adventures they can dream up. More than that - he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof.  In exchange, he's got a lot of love in that little body to offer his people - and loyal companionship for all his days.    He's a great size, a great all-around size. Come meet him! What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once he has spent time in foster care in the DC area.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life!  Please visit us online at      www.luckydoganimalrescue.org   .    BE A FOSTER!!! Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs! To learn about fostering, please contact fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org! BE A SPONSOR!!!! Sponsors help Lucky Dog support the many dogs we save. To learn more about sponsorship, please contact     info@luckydoganimalrescue.org   ! July 21, 2025, 5:09 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cowboy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
