My story

**Note: Doongyi is currently in Korea, but will fly to Toronto on August 4 once adopted. Background Doongyi was rescued this past spring from a small village in Uijeongbu, Korea. He had spent his early life tied up outside, guarding vegetable fields. Since his rescue, he’s been living at our boarding house, surrounded by other dogs — and thriving in their company. Personality & Socialization Doongyi is an affectionate, goofy, and lovable big baby. Despite his larger size, he truly believes he’s a lap dog — and will happily curl up on you if you let him! With a medium to high energy level, Doongyi absolutely adores playing with other dogs — big or small. He loves running around, chasing his friends, and simply being part of the group. His joy is contagious; if other dogs are having fun, he wants in! He’s also very sweet with people. Friendly, gentle, and social, he’ll happily greet anyone with tail wags and cuddles. He’s obedient, goofy, and very loving. Behavior & Training Doongyi is a great walking companion — he does well on a leash and enjoys his outings. He’s also comfortable in the car, behaves wonderfully at the vet, and even does well during bath time. He enjoys playing with toys, especially when he’s feeling a bit bored. He prefers doing his business outdoors, but will use pee pads indoors when needed — a smart and adaptable pup! Health & Care Doongyi is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccinations. He receives monthly parasite prevention and recently passed a full health check with flying colors. He eats kibbles twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Doongyi would do best in a home where he has plenty of companionship. Ideally, he’d love to join a family with another friendly dog who enjoys playing — he thrives in the company of other dogs. If there’s no other dog, a family that’s active and has time for outdoor adventures and play would be a great match too. Doongyi is the kind of dog who fills a home with laughter, affection, and fun. He may be big in size, but he’s even bigger in heart. Whoever adopts this sweet boy is in for something very special. ------------------------------ For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/doongyi-2/
