Female orange cats are already uncommon, but a buff girl like Melrose? She’s truly one in a million. With her gentle eyes and pastel coloring, she’s as dreamy as a spring morning. Melrose is a bit shy when she’s getting to know you, but offer her a Churu or a few slow chin rubs, and she’ll melt into your hand like butter on toast. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines—especially when there’s a feather wand in sight! Playtime is her favorite way to bond, and she loves nothing more than chasing, pouncing, and showing off her graceful moves. If you're looking for a gentle, rare gem of a kitten who blooms with a little love and patience, Melrose is ready to make your world a whole lot sweeter. --- The Pre-adoption process allows us to get the adoption process started early, even though vetting isn’t complete. Per the Department of Agriculture rules and regulations, The Kitten Rescue Project is responsible for vetting all of its kittens before adoption is final. At this time the kitten is not fully vetted because he/she is too young. We expect vetting will be completed around July 28th, but could be delayed a couple weeks longer if he/she does not meet the weight requirement by our vet. Once vetted, our kittens are dewormed, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Our feline adoption fee is $120, which assists in offsetting but does not entirely cover the expenses incurred for the animal's care and completion of essential veterinary care. We do not place cats in homes based on the order of application received. Instead, we prioritize the earliest applications that are the best match for the kitten. We will prioritize applicants within a 2 hour drive of Atlanta, GA to help minimize the kitten's stress during transport. Our adoption process does not happen in a single day. Typically, it can take at least a week for applications to move from submission to adoption. We reserve the right to deny any applicant for any reason.
