My story

Welcome Mo! Mo comes to us from a shelter we work with in KY. Mo is a Jack Russel mix, about a year old, weighs 18-lbs. He is neutered and up to date on all his shots. Mo's story will break your heart. In his short life, he faced abandonment, illness, and unimaginable suffering. Mo was dumped in the woods as a baby and wandered into the home of a kind man. The man meant well, but he didn’t have the resources to care for Mo. In an attempt to help, the man poured motor oil over Mo’s raw, mange-infested skin. Mo cried in agony. The man knew he had made a mistake and called every rescue in the area for help. At the animal hospital in KY, doctors confirmed this precious boy was malnourished. Most of the fur on his body was missing, leaving behind inflamed and infected patches of skin. To top it all off, Mo’s skin was also infected with Ringworm. The medical team administered pain management and got Mo cleaned up. After several months, Mo was ready to come to us at Mountain Rottie Rescue, to find his forever family. Understandably, he is a bit timid around people, but warms up quickly. He loves other dogs and is eager to play with them. www.mountainrottierescue.net

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
