My story

Meet Drake and read what his foster has to say about him. “Drake is an unusually nice little dog. People frequently thank me for letting them pet him. After a good long walk and an energetic game of chase in the morning, he will sit quietly near while I work on the computer. FYI, if you aren't up for running, no problem, he will run around you, if you do a slow jog. He has gone on a six miles on-leash hike with a bit of elevation. He wants to be with you, but can be left on his own for awhile. On walks, he does pull a bit towards things he wants to sniff and people he wants to greet. He is not a rough and tumble type dog with either other dogs or people. He has a few doggie behaviors like occasionally kicking up the grass or dirt with his hind legs when off leash in an enclosed space. More than the right kind of house or home or yard or space, he needs his person or people. He loves playing with small dogs his size, but still tends to shy away from bigger dogs. He has been sleeping on the bed, but would sleep on a soft dog bed. He can be a very tiny bit mouthy when excited. He puts his mouth over my hand, but exerts no pressure. He does not bite at all and is not reactive. He is fully house trained. The vet who gave him his rabies shot labeled him "highly adoptable."

If you have any questions or would like to adopt DRAKE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
