My story

Susan is about 6 years old, 50 lbs Dorsey Patrick From:dcpphoto@aol.com To:Dorsey Patrick Tue, Jul 22 at 7:01 PM >  Howdy, My name is Susan.. I am beautifully crate trained and house trained. I am very gentle in taking treats from my foster mom. I love to be with people. The more the merrier. I greet everyone with my very expressive wagging tail. I love children too. I’ve not been around babies or toddlers yet. I am very interested in small animals when they run, particularly cats , squirrels and small dogs so it may be a good idea for my home not to have them. I get along with other larger dogs if I am introduced appropriately as with any new introductions. I give them respect respect and space. I love to take walks and am good on a leash. And , boy do I like to ride in the car!! I find a good place to sit and settle in to watch calmly and respectfully as the world goes by. I want to see everything so I watch intently. My foster mom tells me often that I am a good girl and that I am very smart. I’m an excellent “watcher” and listener, except when a squirrel or cat dashes away near me. But isn’t that natural, though .I understand that the cats don’t like it so my presence frightens them. I believe that a home that has a human that would like a loving , calm companion with a fenced in yard where I can enjoy out doors without a leash , would be my dream home. I actually learned the doggie door in just a few days by watching her furry children at my foster mom’s house so she has to keep a gate in front of it. But I am ok with that because she takes me out really often. I would so like a home of my own. Oh! And my foster mom gives me baths for my skin. She says that I am the most accommodating doggie bath taker she has ever seen. I stand very still and allow her to wash between my toes. In fact, when you give things a try you just may enjoy them. Even a bath!!!
