My story

Meet Scooter! He is a sweet and curious one year old male Labrador Retriever mix who weighs 42 lbs and has a tail that never stops wagging. He is the perfect blend of playful and gentle and is always ready to give kisses.  Scooter is fantastic with other dogs and picks up on things super quickly. He is crate trained, house trained, and up to date on vaccinations. He is still learning to feel confident in the car, but with a little patience and love he will get there. He loves a nice walk and especially loves bath time.  If you are interested in adopting Scooter, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **    July 22, 2025, 5:59 pm
