She may have come from an overcrowded shelter, but you’d never guess it based on the way she zooms around the house, wiggles her way into every heart, and demands (yes, demands) a few pieces of oven-roasted chicken at every meal. From the moment she opens her eyes at 7am, Olive is ready to live life to the fullest. First on the agenda: a quick yard break. Then it’s time for breakfast— wet food plus chicken. Don’t even try skipping the chicken. This girl knows what she wants and has zero time for subpar meals. After breakfast, she alternates between toy time, wrestling matches with her older doggy foster sister Jackie, and power naps in one of her many beds scattered around the house like royalty thrones. Olive is full of joyful energy, but she’s also shockingly smart. She recently cracked the code on how to sneak through the 'dog-proof' gate to the second floor by studying how the older dogs did it. One minute, she was downstairs. The next? Surprise! Olive upstairs, looking quite pleased with herself. She’s got brains, boldness, and just enough mischief to keep you on your toes. While Olive plays hard, she crashes just as hard— usually right next to you. She’s a world-class cuddler-in-training who wants to be part of the action but doesn’t mind a good nap once she’s worn herself out. She whines when she needs to go outside, barks a bit when she can’t see you, and has a whole lot to say with just her eyes and her ever-wagging tail. She gets along beautifully with other small dogs and has been incredibly sweet with everyone she’s met. While she hasn’t had a chance to meet cats or kids yet, her playful, curious nature suggests she’d be a quick friend with a gentle intro. She’s mostly house-trained and crate-trained, though she will definitely let you know when she’s ready to be done with “quiet time.” Olive would thrive in a home that’s ready for all the fun, chaos, and cuteness a puppy brings. A dog sibling would be a dream come true for her, but she’d also be happy as the center of attention with people who are home often and up for a daily dose of zoomies, snuggles, and laughter. If you’ve been waiting for a little dog with a big heart, a sharp mind, and a side of silly— Olive is ready to meet you. She’s the whole package: playful, snuggly, smart, and just the right amount of dramatic when her chicken isn’t delivered on time.July 20, 2025, 12:16 pm
