My story

Guppy is a happy, easygoing 17 week old puppy who’s ready to find his forever home! With his chocolate coat, striking green eyes, and little cleft lip, this adorable boy is truly one of a kind. Guppy gets along with everyone—kids, adults, and dogs of all sizes. He’s confident, social, and loves being part of the action. When he’s not playing with toys or the other dogs in his foster home, Guppy enjoys relaxing and curling up for a nap. He’s happiest when he can snuggle close, often choosing your chest as his favorite spot to nap. He is both kennel trained and potty trained. Guppy currently weighs 18.2 lbs and is expected to grow to 40–71 lbs as an adult. He’s an American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier mix, so no apartments please. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2349441##
