My story

Say hello to Amethyst, a 1-year-old beauty with a quiet charm all her own. She may be a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—once she’s comfortable, Amethyst isn’t shy about letting you know what’s on her mind! This vocal girl has the sweetest meow and isn’t afraid to use it when she wants some love or attention. With a little patience and a gentle touch, Amethyst is sure to become a loyal and loving companion.Come meet Amethyst at the MaryAnn Wright Animal Adoption and Education Center—she’s ready to find her voice in a home like yours!For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).
