My story

Marbles is a striking, high-energy pup who’s still learning how to navigate the world. While she can come off a bit tense and unsure at first, she's food-motivated, responsive to touch, and shows potential with the right structure and guidance. She recently met another dog and, after a cautious start, engaged in bouncy, playful behavior with clear breaks and play signals. Marbles is still working on reading social cues and decompressing in new environments, but her willingness to interact and her ability to shift into play show promise. Marbles would benefit from an experienced, confident adopter who can help her feel secure, continue positive dog interactions, and set her up for success. She's looking for a patient, structured home where she can build trust and blossom. Come meet her at ACCT Philly, open daily from 10 am to 6pm. High risk and stiff, ears to the side, wide eyes. Overall tense body. Takes treats gently. Met Darko thru the fence and then on leash. Very stiff at first/ tail high and stiff, mouth closed, standing tall with chest puffed out. Jerky movements as they met on leash, moving away in quick jerky movements. Walked together and that’s when the play began. Both dogs engaged in play, taking lots of small breaks lasting 1-10 seconds before doing a play bow or spin to resume. Her body remained tense when playing, except she had an open mouth. Touched and pet her frequently, she had soft eyes and ears back, tail middle and still. Exp Gold 07/20/2025 staff notes, playgroup: Extremely stiff at the gate, tense, hard eye contact. Was muzzled to go into the yard. Some necking, just hard staring at other dogs. Extremely intense.
