My story

***Staff thinks I will be ready by late July and is in a Pueblo foster home. My foster family says- Meet Sparkles! Sparkles is a beautiful Tortoiseshell cat; her coat is mostly black and gold, accented by stunning “eyeliner” that makes her eyes pop. Sparkles has a calm, easygoing personality, but she’s a bit more reserved than your average lap cat. Even her expression is chill. She appreciates a peaceful environment and prefers to take her time warming up to new people or situations. Once she feels comfortable, Sparkles enjoys gentle affection and quiet companionship, as well as exploring. She loves lounging in cozy spots and watching the world go by, though she’ll occasionally join in some light play. She will let you know when she is lonely with some mews. Sparkles has a Torbico sister who also sports gorgeous eyeliner and gets along just fine with the family poodle. She’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a sweet, low-key cat with a touch of independence..***I am not currently at the shelter because I`m growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
