My story

Now’s the perfect time to adopt! I’m one of the lucky pets featured in Clear the Shelters 2025! My adoption fee is reduced by $50 through September 15! Current Location: King William, VA Meet Huckleberry Huckleberry is a 5 year old, 12-pound pup with a big heart, sharp tan eyebrows, and a mischievous glint in his eye. Draped in black with perfect white and tan markings, he looks like he stepped out of a storybook - and in a way, he did. A Southern Tale Born in the wilds of the rural South, little Huckleberry grew up chasing butterflies, stealing socks off clotheslines, and dreaming of something more. One warm morning, he tied a bandana around his favorite toy, slung it over his tiny shoulder, and headed north to follow his dream of becoming someone’s everything. He rode in the back of a pickup, caught rides with friendly travelers, and napped in the laps of kind strangers - until he landed in his foster home, where he’s been preparing for the big moment: meeting his forever family. Energy and Personality Small but mighty, Huckleberry is full of playful spirit and puppy charm. He’s smart, social, and curious about the world. Fostered with other dogs, he learns quickly and loves having company. He's the kind of pup who wants to be right where the action is - whether that’s in the yard, on your lap, or curled up beside you watching the world go by. Training and Home Fit He’s still a youngster and learning the ropes, but he’s eager to please and quick to connect with his people. Huckleberry would love a home with another friendly dog or a human who’s home more often than not. He’s ready to become a loyal sidekick in whatever adventures lie ahead. Veterinary Care - Up to date on vaccinations for his age - Neutered - Microchipped - On heartworm prevention - Flea and tick prevention - Dewormed

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Huckleberry, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
