My story

Copetes is a dainty 11-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing just 5 pounds. Despite all the recent changes in her life, she remains a gentle, quiet soul. She arrived at Shelter Hope with 4 other dogs after her former owner in Bakersfield was forced to move and could no longer keep his five beloved pets. It was a heartbreaking decision, made out of love and necessity. Now, Copetes is slowly adjusting to her new surroundings. She’s sweet, soft-natured, and enjoys peaceful moments curled up on the couch. She gets along well with other dogs and thrives in calm environments where she can feel safe. Copetes will soon be receiving a dental to take care of some much-needed work, which will help her feel more comfortable and ready to start her next chapter. This lovely little senior is hoping to find a quiet, nurturing home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by love. ------ Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire!
