My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please meet Rinaldo.  An approximately 2 year old blue Neapolitan Mastiff.  He found himself in a Houston Texas high kill shelter being brought in as a stray.  A caring person in Arkansas saw his post which reminded her of a dog she owned and passed away.  Having no idea he was a Neapolitan Mastiff had him shipped to her.  When he arrived she realized she was not equipped to care for him.  On June 29th, 2025 Rinaldo arrived at his foster home in Virginia.  He is heart worm positive and his slow kill treatment has already started.  His rear end is being treated for the flea infestation he suffered from.  Underweight at just 118 pounds his foster will definitely be putting groceries on that solid Mastino frame.  He knows sit and down but his leash manners surely need to be worked on which our foster is more than experienced to handle.  We know he rides well in a vehicle and seems to be a happy boy.  We will do updates on our Facebook page as they come in from his foster home.   If you are interested in Rinaldo or any of the other Neos in need please go to our website and check them out.  Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.  MRI is just as excited as Rinaldo to find his forever home.  Mastino-rescue-inc.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 18, 2025, 3:12 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rinaldo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
