My story

Introducing Opossum! Don’t let the name fool you – he doesn’t play dead, but he will stop, drop, and roll for belly rubs! Possum came into the shelter as a stray, and was a bit timid and shy, but in the short time he’s been with his foster family – he’s gained lots of confidence and is really coming into his own. Possum is very sweet, smart, and gets along great with dogs, as well as cats too (he currently lives with a cutie tri-pod kitty). Besides getting along well with other four-legged friends, he loves people! Possum is wonderfully tempered and very loving. Possum is also curious and smart, mixed with the perfect touch of goofy happy energy to keep you smiling throughout the day. Possum is house trained, crate trained, does well on his leash, enjoys the car, and is a fast learner. He has also done well around kids and seniors. Possum is about a year old with great puppy-like energy and he’d love a forever family that has other pets he can play with and/or a family that likes to go on walks, hikes or other adventures. Since he is still a young gent, he’d also appreciate a family that will help continue to build his confidence and teach him all the ways that the world is a wonderful place. If you're interested in meeting this sweet boy and helping him find the forever home he’s been searching for, please apply at www.hopeanimals.org/adopt!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Possum, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
