My story

Harvey: Tongue Out, Heart Open! Hi there, I’m Harvey! I’m a 2-year-old, 38-pound shepherd mix with one heck of a story and an even bigger love for life. I may be missing a few teeth, but I make up for it with extra charm.I was found in Mexico after being hit by a car — I was skinny, banged up, and had a pretty gnarly injury to one side of my face. After surgery and a whole lotta TLC, I’m totally healed and living my best life. Don’t worry — I can eat, drink, and chew toys just fine. Chew toys? Treats? Bring ’em on. I’m a sweet, social butterfly and I love people — especially kids. I’m the kind of dog who will instantly snuggle up to new friends and happily tag along to the farmer’s market, the hair salon, your bestie’s house, or even the playground. You name it, I’m down! I adjust to your energy — want to lounge? I’ll nap by your side. Want to head out and explore? Count me in! I’m great with other dogs (currently living with four furry siblings!) and while I haven’t met any cats yet, I don’t have much prey drive, so a slow intro could work. I’m also house, crate, and leash trained. I might whimper a little when you leave, but I settle quickly — I just really like being near my people. Not to brag, but I’m the total package: cuddly, playful, low-maintenance, and endlessly loving. I’ve been through a lot, but you’d never know it — I’m not fearful or timid, just grateful and goofy. I’d love a home where I’m not alone all day, but whether it’s a busy household with kids and dogs or a calm home with just you, I’ll fit right in. So, what are you waiting for?
