Meet Tati! Tati entered Lancaster Shelter as a stray. Sadly, she wasn't claimed, so on July 17th, we welcomed her as a Frosted Face. She is around 10 years old and is very sweet. Tati went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we learned a lot of her while she spent time in a home environment. Her Fling Mom shares: "Tati is extremely sweet and all she wants is love and affection. She is very attached to her people and will follow you around everywhere you go to get as much pets and love as she can. Tati walks nicely on the leash and is hesitant to get in the car, but once she is in, she has no issues riding or being in the car even up to 45 minutes at a time. She doesn’t pull on the leash when trying to get to other dogs and mostly just ignores them. She is happy to meet new people and have them pet her. Tati has not shown any food aggression with my other dog or guarding of resources. She’s not too interested in toys, but has occasionally chased a toy that was thrown for her and does not seem interested in balls or other stuffed toys. Tati is very treat motivated and is learning how to sit very nicely. She will jump up occasionally out of excitement when greeting new people, but sits when you tell her to get down. Tati has been around different size dogs and seems to enjoy licking all of them in the face. We have not had her in an off leash environment at all, so I do not know how she would interact with dogs off-leash. Tati has been around multiple kids, aged 6 and over, and she’s been very loving and affectionate towards them. Because of her size, she tends to lean into people for affection—sometimes a little too enthusiastically—and could accidentally knock a child over. She doesn’t mean any harm; she’s just eager for love and attention. Tati has been left home alone for up to six hours and not had any issues. She does not appear to have separation anxiety when left alone. She cries briefly when we leave to take our other dog on a walk, but it does not last long. She just curls up and wait until we get back. Tati has also learned how to use a dog door to go in and out. We have really loved getting to know Tati better and know she will be a wonderful addition to her new family!" Looking for a devoted and loving companion? Please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule a time to meet Tati.
