My story

Vixen is a 9-month-old female Red Heeler mix who must be spayed before adoption.  She came to PAHS as a stray after being found in a Prattville neighborhood; and her owner never came looking for her.  Vixen is white with some light red markings; and she weighs only 24 pounds.  She was very frightened when she first came to PAHS; but after getting acquainted with our staff she has really blossomed!  Vixen is playful, active, and friendly.  She would be fine in a home with older children.  If you have another dog; we would require you to bring in your dog for a meet and greet with Vixen.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  July 17, 2025, 8:42 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Vixen 42016, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
