My story

Ferro is a 1.5 year old male Lab/Border Collie mix, who is ready to win your heart with his handsome looks and sweet, affectionate nature. He has a charming way of showing love - gently leaning in close and lifting a paw, like he’s saying “hi” in the most polite way possible. Ferro has a good moderate energy level .. not too much energy, just enough to have a fun playtime or nice walk together. But overall, Ferro prefers companionship over a lot of running, and often chooses to stay nearby when you're outside together. Ferro has also been friendly with other dogs he has met, and has done well in doggie play groups, seeming to prefer low-to-medium energy dogs. So if you’re looking for a true friend to fill your life with warmth and love, Ferro is the one for you. He’ll be there to share in your joys, comfort you in tough times, and remind you that every day is better when you have a loyal companion by your side. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.July 17, 2025, 3:49 pm
