My story

Do you have a 54lbs hole in your life? Are you looking for a loving, mellow dog to fill it? Meet Camilla! This gal has lived with both cats and older children in the past, and she may be happy to do so again. Camilla is friendly, loves to receive scratches, and is described as gentle and well-behaved. She also knows “sit” and “come” and has the potential to learn even more! When meeting another dog in the shelter, Camilla has been neutral, so if you have a resident dog in the home, bring them along with you to ensure that the two approve of each other. It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
