My story

Gentle Cutie Pie, Chill Companion, Calm Dude In addition to being rescued as a result of the recent devastating floods in Texas, Banana Bean arrived with one severely damaged back leg that had to be surgically removed. That’s a lot to deal with! Now Banana Bean is a three-legged king who loves to take it easy! You won't find him bouncing off the walls or hopping up on the counter, but you *will* find him tucked away under a pile of cozy blankets. He is the perfect companion for binge watching your favorite show, playing video games, or taking long naps! Having a day where you just want to lay around? Mr. Bean is your guy. He'll lay near you for hours with no hesitation and make it feel like it was HIS idea. He’s dreamy! Banana Bean will take a bit to warm up, but once he feels safe, he's all yours! He is highly affectionate and very gentle, and loves to cuddle or be in close proximity to you. He purrs easily and loudly, and will rub his face on you when he is pet. He is genuinely sooooo sweet that just being around his restful way-of-being is contagious - and seems like stress-reducing therapy! Banana Bean is a very chill guy, and appreciates gentleness from his humans. Easy petting, calm play, respectful handling, quiet lounging about - all of that is perfect for him! He is still recovering from the recent surgery, so he’s all about people who will provide ease and comfort for him. Pro Tip: He loves a good stuffed animal or rolled up blanket to sleep with or lean on because he's a cutie pie! When Banana Bean first met the dog in his foster home, he was apprehensive and wanted nothing to do with her. After getting to know her, now Mr. Bean seems unbothered. He does like to keep his distance, but he’s calm about it. Mr. Bean’s ideal home is quiet, low-traffic, and chill. He’s perfect for laid-back people who are home a lot and/or are looking to add a Nap Connoisseur to their lifestyle! He loves having a private, dark little place to retreat to and take naps. If there are other pets in the home, they would just need to be able to give him space if he decides he wants it. Banana Bean is a beautiful white and brown tabby, and he is a delight in every way! Contact us to learn more and to arrange a meet & greet! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Banana Bean, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Banana Bean, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
