My story

Sweet, Gentle, Biscuit-Maker Popcorn finds happiness in her people! She’s recently discovered how amazing it is to be cared for by someone kind. After being rescued from the floods earlier this year, Popcorn was understandably scared. But with time, patience, and plenty of love in a calm, quiet foster home, she’s learned that she’s finally safe. And that means everything to her. Now that she’s settling in, we’re seeing the real Popcorn: a friendly little lady who loves cuddles. She’ll purr and make biscuits when you pet her, happy to soak up affection now that she knows it’s for real. As she gains confidence, Popcorn is even starting to figure out toys! She keeps herself entertained batting around stuffed mice and jingle balls. Most of the time she’s very quiet, but she’ll occasionally let out a soft meow, especially around mealtime. Popcorn is a bit of a chonk, so she’s currently on a diet to help her reach a healthier weight, though an occasional Churu is a healthy treat! She’d do best in a peaceful home with a loving human or two who will give her time to adjust and get comfy. We’ve already seen how quickly she opens up with a little patience. Given her gentle nature, she may do well with older kids, and while we haven’t seen her with other cats yet, we think she could benefit from a confident feline buddy to show her the ropes.
