My story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire and e-mail any questions to: trailshomefarm@homewardtrails.org PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO FIND THE ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE: http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ LOCATION:Trails Home Farm ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Trails Home Farm HOW TO MEET THIS ANIMAL: All dogs located at Trails Home Farm are in Delaplane, VA and require an appointment for approved applicants to have a meet and greet. ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 20 pounds KNOWN WITH DOGS: Rowdy has not yet had the chance to hang out with dogs at Homeward Trails, though he seems very interested in them through the fence. KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how Rowdy is with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information! KNOWN WITH KIDS: We do not know how Rowdy is with kids. KNOWN CUES: Working on Sit. KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Rowdy may need some help working on his crate training as he wants to spend all his time with his human friends. KNOWN LIKES: Affection, sniffing, lounging on the furniture. KNOWN DISLIKES: Unknown. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Rowdy came to us from a rural shelter partner in Scott County. This fascinating-looking little guy has already won the hearts of staff with his soulful eyes, excellent cuddling skills, and fancy little strut. While we don't know much about his background, we suspect he might be a teddy bear who came to life because he loved humans so much. But we do know about his future - with a loving family in the DMV region. Could it be you? Rowdy was neutered during his stay with Homeward Trails. HT ADOPTION INCLUSIONS: Spay/Neuter First 3 distemper series vaccines & de-wormings Microchip - lifetime with no registration fees Current on heartworm preventative Current on flea/tick preventative EXCLUSIVE ADOPTER BENEFITS: Free first exam with: Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Jermantown Animal Hospital, Union Veterinary Clinic and Clarendon Animal Care and all VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA offers $250 coverage - details provided) Free online workshop with a professional dog trainer at Fur-Get Me Not within the first 30 days of adopting (in DC/Arlington/Alexandria only) A portion of EVERY ADOPTION fee supports spay/neuter for animals in under-resourced communities BE A FOSTER: Save a life: http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/dog-and-cat-foster-program.
