My story

Tin Man might just be one of the easiest, most laid-back dogs you’ll ever meet. This sweet, blocky-headed charmer is a low-to-moderate energy kind of guy—give him one good walk and he’s happy to spend the rest of the day curled up on the couch. He’s perfectly house-trained, can be left alone without a fuss, and greets his people with full-body wags when they return.Tin Man loves people of all ages and could do well with kids, especially with proper introductions to little ones (he sometimes gets a bit excited to say hello!). On leash, he can pull at first—mostly because he’s eager to greet every human and dog he passes—but he’s improving with gentle guidance. Once he reaches the trails, his pace slows to a relaxed stroll, nose to the ground, happily sniffing along. This lovable guy has enjoyed some fun adventures, including a volunteer day out with a pup cup, backyard playtime, and an adoption event at Peabody Heights. He handled the outing beautifully—meeting new people, greeting dogs politely, and even walking past barking pups without reacting. While busy events can feel a little overwhelming at first, Tin Man quickly settles and leans in for pets, winning hearts with his sweet, calm nature. He was recently featured on a WBAL news segment where he sat in Jennifer Franciotti`s lap for the entire duration and covered his human friends in kisses. He greeted everyone at the station with tail wags and was beloved by everyone there that morning. He is truly a gem!At the shelter and on walks, he’s shown playful interest and a friendly attitude toward other dogs. He also has one adorable quirk: he loves cooling off by sprawling out on cold tile or concrete after walks.Affectionate, gentle, and easygoing, Tin Man is happiest when he’s close to his people—but he’s also content to snooze the day away if they’re at work. This sweet boy is ready to bring love, companionship, and plenty of couch cuddles to his forever home. Visit BARCS to meet Tin Man!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tin Man, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
