My story

*HUSKY OR SIMILAR BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!* Meet our handsome and happy Husky boy named Edison, or Eddy for short! Eddy is about 1.5 years old and he was surrendered to our shelter after her most recent owner could no longer care for him. Eddy has been passed around to a few homes, but this is at no fault of his home. Unfortunately, Eddy has found himself being placed in homes that were no the right fit for his breed. Eddy is a very friendly dog who loves all people! He is a young boy who will require regular exercise to tire him out. He has been an escape artist in the past, so he will need plenty of supervision when he firs gets to his new home. Eddy is good with other dogs and he can go to a home with children 12 years old and older. If you are interested in adopting Edison, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
