My story

Gentle, Soft, Shy Greg reminds us of a soft plush toy! We love his bold tail stripes and the unique bullseye of tabby fur on his right side. Though he’s bold in appearance, he’s shy and reserved, at least for now. We don’t know much about his background or what has made him so cautious. But we strongly suspect that there’s a very sweet, gentle, loving cat behind that shy exterior. For now, he has set up camp on a plush blanket under his foster’s bed. He has been quiet as a mouse – she has yet to hear a peep out of him. He comes out to eat and use his litter box, though he’ll generally retreat under the bed if she comes into the room. However, she has discovered that he LOVES treats in any form – churu, crunchies, whatever! He can be enticed out from under the bed by a treat, and he’s even beginning to accept and enjoy forehead pets! He also seems interested in string toys. When he was still in the shelter, Greg got along fine with his feline roomies. He can hear his foster’s cats but does not seem fussed about their presence. We truly believe that Greg will blossom into a total lovebug in a calm, loving, forever home. He needs people who will patiently give him the time and space he needs to adjust to a new environment. Boisterous small kids aren’t the best fit for him, but a confident, cat-friendly kitty friend might be just his cup of tea.
