My story

Clementine is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix whose story could have ended in heartbreak, but instead, it became one of resilience, healing, and hope. She was found tied to a pole by Phoenix PD and rushed to Veterinary Emergency Group for immediate care. That’s where our Director first met her—and instantly knew Clementine was meant to be part of the Sky Sanctuary family. When she arrived, Clementine’s skin was raw, her body underweight, and her spirit understandably shaken. But thanks to the expert care of our friends at Dermatology for Animals, her health began to rebound. Day by day, her coat has grown back in beautifully, and her confidence has returned—proving just how powerful love and medical care can be. Clementine also completed a 5-week Board and Train program with our trusted partners at Sofus Dog Training, where she worked on basic obedience, built confidence, and learned how to manage separation anxiety with structure and support. She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who’s taken everything in stride and is now ready to bring her training—and her big heart—into a forever home. Clementine is affectionate, resilient, and full of personality. She bonds deeply with her people and would thrive in a home that continues to offer her the stability, patience, and love she’s worked so hard for.
