My story

Grool is past the puppy chaos and teenage antics—he’s that sweet spot of grown-up, good-mannered, and ready to be your best buddy. He seems to know sit, stay, and down, and on a recent day trip as an office dog, he settled in quickly and quietly fell for everyone around him. Out on the town, Grool was the perfect companion—strolling calmly on leash, greeting people of all ages with polite enthusiasm, and resting at his people’s feet during lunch. In play group, he’s still learning how to “dog,” but once in the yard, he coexists contently. It’s clear this guy was meant for home life, not kennel life—he just wants a safe, quiet place where he can be your loyal, loving sidekick.To meet our available animals, visit our Northside shelter locations any day between 1-6 pm.
