My story

Chili and Curry came to our rescue late spring 2025, from Lancaster, SC. They were about five weeks old. Their feral mother had not been seen for a few days, so hearing the kittens crying, the homeowners caught the kittens and called us. Even at five weeks old, kittens born apart from human contact can be a little spicy. These frightened little guys were definitely up for a fight, which is how they got their names. It took about a week for them to adapt to human companions, but after they connected us with food, affection, and play, we won them over. Chili, a brown female tabby, is by nature a sweetheart. She is intelligent, bold, playful, and curious about everything. Whether you are doing the dishes, making the bed, or sweeping the floor, she loves to supervise. Although she enjoys rough and tumble play with her brother, she seeks human contact. She is definitely a lap cat and is going to be a snuggler. Curry, Chili’s gray tabby brother, is the overthinker of the two. We are not big believers in cats being predisposed to human males or females, but Curry adores my husband. I can only describe it as a Shrek/Donkey masculine energy bromance that will surely convey to the male or males in your home. A great advantage to adopting slightly older kittens is you don’t have to guess what their personalities will be like. Chili and Curry are confident, affectionate, and full of joy. After they play in the morning, all they ask for is a soft blanket and sunbeam. Evenings again are playtime before they quietly settle in for the night. They also love being around our two adult rescues, so if you have an older cat or cats, these two already know how to behave around their elders. Since Chili and Curry are very bonded, our adoption requirement is that they remain together. Their personalities are well suited for each other, and if you are away they will keep each other company. They are both spay/neutered, healthy, litter trained, well socialized, and are now old enough to leave for their forever homes. The $150 adoption fee is for both kittens and covers FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and their spay/neuter. To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me.
