Winnie and Wila

My story

Bonded Mother and Daughter who would love a forever home together! Meet Winnie and Wila, a mother and daughter who have a bond so strong that we really feel it's in their best interest to be adopted together. Winnie (mom) and Wila (daughter) came to us when Winnie was rescued, pregnant off the streets in Tijuana. An independent rescuer we work with got her to the vet immediately. She unfortunately lost all her puppies, but one...Wila. Winnie had a terrible skin condition that looked so rough and painful, but with the right treatment and months of TLC, she got better. Winnie is an approximately 3/4 year old MinPin mix that is about 12lbs and Wila is an aproximately 2 year old, Schnauzer/Terrier mix that is around 17lbs. The girls are in a foster home together and when we tried separating them, it did not go well. Wila cried and got frantic looking for her mom and that's when we knew they needed to be adopted together. Both girls are good with other dogs and love people! They would love a home with a safe and secure backyard to run around in along with owners that are not gone long hours during the day. Wila does do some "protective barking" on leash and needs a good leader who will gently correct her and let her know that everything is ok. To see the girls cuddled together and see the bond they have will definitely make you understand why we must have them adopted as a pair. We know that their forever home is out there! Wila and Winnie are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. We only adopt in the greater LA areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required.
