Mylo is a 1-year-old Boston Terrier, born in January 2024. He’s alert, playful, and full of energy especially when he’s outside, which is his favorite place to be. Whether he's sniffing around the yard or chasing toys, Mylo is always up for an adventure. Personality & Good Behaviors: Mylo is curious, affectionate, and very smart. He sleeps well through the night (usually in his crate), and he’s naturally alert, making him a good little watchdog. He loves being around people and thrives with attention and a consistent routine. Areas That Need Work: Mylo is not fully house-trained, so he’ll need a patient adopter who can work with him on a regular schedule to reinforce proper bathroom habits. He can be unpredictable around children while generally playful and sweet, he occasionally jumps or snaps when overstimulated, especially during walks or when he’s excited. He’s strong for his size and can unintentionally overpower younger children, so he’ll do best with someone confident in handling energetic dogs. Ideal Home: Mylo would thrive in an adult-only home or one with older teens who have experience with dogs. A fenced yard, consistent structure, and continued training would help him grow into the wonderful companion we know he can be. For more up to date information on this dog please go to our website @ https://www.playk9rescue.org/adopt-a-dog The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care and training which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and training needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home. PLAY! K9 Rescue will pay for the spay/neuter of this adopted dog. The spay/neuter must be done at a clinic or veterinarian's office approved by PLAY! K9 Rescue. If the adopter chooses to take the pet to their own veterinarian for the spay/neuter procedure, PLAY! K9 Rescue will refund the cost equivalent to an approved PLAY! K9 Rescue veterinarian or clinic. All of our unaltered pets have a fully refundable deposit of $150.00 included within the adoption fee. Once the pet is altered at the appropriate time and proof supplied to our rescue, the adopter will be reimbursed $150.00. Our adoption contract explains this process in detail.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mylo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
