He will graduate at the beginning of October and we hope to have a home ready and waiting for him! Read more about Paws in Prison below. 7/15 Scooby This handsome, playful boy was found at a dump site. Left there with a leash still attached, like he was led there and left like all the garbage that surrounded him. But he's not garbage. This boy is a treasure. He is friendly and kind hearted. He is playful with other dogs and gets along well with everyone. Scooby is about 1- 1 1/2 years old. He is house trained. He will walk on leash but could use some work on leash manners. He's not hyper but he does have energy and enjoys a good, healthy run daily with the other dogs in his foster home. He is also very affectionate and loves to be loved. Scooby is fully vetted and ready to find his own home. Scooby is one of our lucky pups who gets to attend the Arkansas Paws in Prison program! Paws in prison is an amazing program where dogs are paired with inmates whom they are with 24/7 for 8 weeks. The inmates work with the dogs everyday on basic training, basic obedience, house training, leash training, etc. and even some tricks! They meet weekly with a certified dog trainer. This is a wonderful program and so beneficial for the dogs and the inmates! When they graduate, they have all the skills needed to pass the Canine Good Citizen test. He will graduate from Paws in Prison on 10/6/25. We hope to have a home ready and waiting for him when he graduates. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available.
