My story

Meet Rooney, a sweet gentleman looking for the loving forever home he deserves! Rooney is a mixed breed who is approximately 2 years old and weighs approximately 70 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Rooney was rescued from a local shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list. Rooney is a sweet, calm, and gentle boy. He is well-mannered in the home and thrives on companionship. He enjoys spending time indoors and is happiest when he is with his humans. Rooney is house trained and crate trained, making him a great addition to any home. He does wonderfully with children of all ages, as well as other pets including cats, dogs, goats, pigs, and rabbits. Rooney has a lot of love to give, and he wants plenty of space to enjoy life to the fullest. While Rooney loves being indoors with his people, he also has a playful, adventurous side. Rooney is happiest in a quieter setting with room to roam. Although he continues to work on his leash etiquette, a home in a rural or suburban area with a secure, fenced yard would be ideal - giving him space to explore, stretch his legs, and enjoy the simple joys of life like sunbathing, chasing a ball, or just soaking in the fresh air. Rooney is not a city slicker, and that’s okay. He prefers the serenity of the countryside, where he can truly relax and be himself.
